Character Sheet Design

Individual character sheet structure for all 6 character types

This document defines what information goes on individual character sheets. This design serves as the blueprint for all 6 character types (Chef + 5 specialists).

Sheet Contents

Identity Section

Character Name: [Player-chosen name]

Role: [Chef | Forager | Butcher | Pastry Chef | Host | Food Scientist]

Role Description: Brief 1-2 sentence description of what this character does

Exploration Stats

Characters have three exploration stats for use during the Exploration Phase. See Character Mechanics for complete rules.

Foraging: [ ] (bonus modifier) Combat: [ ] (bonus modifier) Social: [ ] (bonus modifier)

Point Allocation:

  • Chef: 4 points to distribute across stats
  • Specialists: 2 points to distribute + automatic +2 in specialty stat (4 total)

Resolution: Roll d20 + stat bonus

Cooking Stats

[TBD - Cooking mechanics not yet defined]

Specialty Bonus: [Role-specific note]

  • Chef: No automatic cooking bonuses (baseline character)
  • Specialists: +4 bonus to specific cooking actions (details TBD)

Individual Progression

Personal Reputation/Level: [ ]

  • Represents how skilled YOU are as this character
  • Personal progression path
  • May affect wages or unlock personal abilities

Personal Money/Wages: [ ]

Personal Equipment

Owned Gear/Tools:

  • Equipment purchased and owned by this individual character

Design Notes

Two-Sheet System:

  • Individual sheets track personal stats and progression
  • Restaurant sheet tracks shared party resources
  • Works for both solo (1 character sheet + restaurant sheet) and group play (multiple character sheets + 1 shared restaurant sheet)

Dual Reputation System:

  • Individual Reputation: How good you are at your role
  • Restaurant Reputation: How famous the restaurant is (tracked on Restaurant Sheet)
  • Both systems work together for progression
